Weekly Card Reading: Watched Over

This week’s card reading is from one of Doreen Virtue’s newer oracle card decks, Mary, Queen of Angels.  It is a loving deck, infused with Mother Mary’s maternal wisdom, love and protection.  As is often the case, when I sit down to do a reading, I am strongly guided to a particular deck.  Today, it was this one.

This week marked the Autumnal Equinox, a time of transition, harvest and change.  The question I posed was, “What message do the angels have for us as we transition into Autumn?”

The card that I drew is called “Watched Over”.  It depicts a mother and child in the center, surrounded by a wreath of flowers and cherubs in the corners of the card.  The message of the card is a strong one of you are loved and protected.  You are being watched over by those here on earth and in Heaven.  Trust in this love and protection, allow yourself to feel safe and follow your path, knowing you have a watchful eye on you from above.  If you feel unsafe, troubled or confused, ask Mother Mary for guidance and protection.  Visualize her beautiful baby blue light around you and feel her love around you like a hug.

Sometimes we struggle with our independence.  As children, we don’t understand the things our parents do to protect us and the lengths they go to because of their love for us.  Even as we grow to be adults, we may lose sight of how our loved ones, friends, and even co-workers protect us out of caring and respect for us.

Likewise, we may say or do things to show our love and attempt to protect those we care for and our efforts may not be seen for what they are.  When it is met with resistance, call on Mother Mary and the angels for guidance.  Act as Mother Mary would, with love and compassion.

Remember we all must follow our own path.  Knowing we are not alone and have the angels ready to answer our call can help us along our journey.   Also remember the law of attraction.  Feeling unsafe and being filled with fear begets more of the same.  Instead, this reading reminds you that you are always watched over.  Trust.  Faith.  Love.
